Committees

The Partnership has two standing committees: the Steering Committee and the Grants Committee.

The Steering Committee is made up of nine members selected through a nominations process to serve a two-year term. Chaired by Susan Taylor Batten (Annie E. Casey Foundation) and Heather Iliff (Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations), this committee serves as the governing leadership body of the Partnership.

The Grants Committee is comprised of one representative from each institution that contributed funding to the Partnership (our Funding Partners). This committee reviews and vets all funding requests and makes the final recommendations for funding, which are then submitted to the Community Foundation’s Board of Trustees for ratification.
